Understanding Eating Disorders
Eating disorders can affect people of all ages, backgrounds, and body shapes and sizes. This program builds understanding of eating disorders, how they impact psychological and physical health and how best to support recovery.
By the end of this workshop participants will have learned about:
- the different eating disorders, and how each of these eating disorders may impact the individual experiencing the eating disorder as well as their family and carers
- managing both the physical and psychological aspects of eating disorders
- how best to support recovery relevant services and how to access these services

Important! Before you enrol: We are required to provide our services to people who live/work/study or provide services in the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) area. If you are not sure whether you are eligible, please check Who can attend recovery college. If your address is outside of WSLHD area but you study or provide services within the Western Sydney LHD, please ensure you respond to the relevant question on the enrolment form to explain your connection to the area.
