Your Next Opportunities to Learn & Grow: Term 4 2018

We are excited to launch our Term 4 Course Guide leading into Mental Health Month 2018!

We have a number of new courses available in Term 4, including Understanding Problem Gambling which is being run in partnership with the Multicultural Problem Gambling Service for NSW. New recognised programs include Older Person Mental Health First Aid (so popular, the first workshop in October has already booked out) and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). We also have two new workshops being delivered in Arabic language by bilingual educators: Understanding Depression and Effective Communication Skills.

During Mental Health Month we will be running a special Introduction to Peer Work course in partnership with the Mental Health Coordinating Council (MHCC). This is a five day activity based program which supports active and practical learning for consumers and/or carers who might be considering mental health peer work.

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the mental health of the LGBTIQ community in Western Sydney, we will be taking part in an LGBTIQ Mental Health Month afternoon tea organised by Relationships Australia on 19 October at their Parramatta location. We will also have a stall at the Parramatta Pride Picnic on Sunday 28 October. We hope to see you there!
