Suicide Prevention Outreach Team – Survey Invitation
News | Posted on 13th May 2021
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is currently working with Lived Experience Participants to co-design a new Suicide Prevention Service as part of the Toward Zero Suicide Initiative, Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT). This is a state-wide initiative with the co-design being facilitated by our partner Inside Out. WSLHD want your feedback for developing this service!
The service will be an assertive mobile outreach team supporting people of Western Sydney in suicidal crisis (including ideation and attempt). The service will be supported by a Peer Worker with lived experience of suicide and a Senior Mental Health Clinician, working together as equals to deliver a mobile service in consumers homes, community, GPs etc. The service hopes to provide an alternative to presenting to emergency departments.
WSLHD are currently in the planning phase and need your help in providing feedback, and sharing your experience and knowledge in the planning for our developing service. WSLHD are seeking feedback from staff and health professional perspectives as well as consumers, carers and other persons with lived experience. If you can please take the time in completing the short survey by Friday 14th May, that would be much appreciated.
