Self-Care tips in your language
News | Posted on 4th May 2020
Western Sydney has one of the largest and most culturally and linguistically diverse populations in Australia with over 40% speaking a language other than English at home. So we have been busy working with our One Door Mental Health colleagues from all over NSW to make videos about self-care. We explain why self-care is important and each staff member gives examples of how they are practising self-care.
One Door staff have so far made videos in Cantonese, Farsi, French, German, Hindi, Mandarin, Punjabi and Spanish.
Our self-care video from WSRC educators and staff is a longer video in English for anyone to watch.
Self-care does not discriminate, we all need to do it. We each use different tools and skills that we can learn a little from each other. Our Educators and staff have shared just a snippet of their journey and how they look after their self-care. #inthistogether
