Co-design Focus Groups for LGBTQIA+ community accessing the NDIS – with MHCC

In early May, MHCC are running 2 co-design focus groups for consultation with people from the LGBTQIA+ community who have mental health concerns and interested in accessing the NDIS. They are seeking participants who are willing and interested in attending these focus groups.

With funding provided by the NDIA, MHCC are working to share and enhance reimagine.today, a FREE online resource that guides people living with a mental health condition through the step-by-step process of accessing the NDIS.

The project has employed Peer Leaders in NSW/ACT, NT, QLD, SA, VIC and TAS to coordinate state-based Peer-led Networks and run a co-design process to develop additional resources for reimagine.today, that will further support people in accessing the NDIS. In particular, new resources and updates will improve accessibility for people from 4 priority diversity groups: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people living in rural and remote areas and LGBTIQA+ people.
